Laboratorios 3D, a Zamora-based company that offers integrated additive manufacturing solutions for industry, in its quest to keep up with the latest technology in Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), has brought the new MfgPro236 xS printer by Taiwanese brand XYZ Printing to Spain.
This SLS technology printer was presented at the latest edition of FormNext held in late 2021, and is classified as one of the most powerful and complete of its kind on the market.
In terms of its technical features, we would highlight its large manufacturing volume (230x230x250 mm) and the fact that it is equipped with several control systems, enhancing performance.
However, its main competitive edge lies in its high temperature chamber. Thanks to its resistance, this chamber can print with a wide range of high quality materials and high thermal and mechanical properties, such as: PA6, PA6MF, PA6FR, PA12, PA11, PA11CF, PP, TPU and PA6X028. This same chamber is equipped with an ultra-powerful laser that can achieve layer thicknesses of between 0.06mm and 0.12 mm, which produces end parts of much higher quality in terms of properties and finishes.
With this new acquisition, Laboratorios 3D adds another SLS manufacturing unit to its production line, enabling it to continue to bring its clients solutions customised to their needs, while also opening up a path in this market to bring this innovation to even more users.
After the success of carbon fibre-reinforced polyamide 11, a highly ductile material with good impact performance, the business is adding polypropylene to its portfolio of high performance materials, a highly versatile, durable and wear-resistant material; and reinforced polyamides, with high mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance.
During 2021, Laboratorios 3D became one of the largest manufacturers of PA11 parts with Carbon Fibre, in collaboration with BASF, with over 10,000 units produced.
Laboratorios 3D has over 9 years of experience in additive manufacturing and has been specialising in professional solutions such as SLS and SLA for two years now. It is now offering parts with these technologies for the technological and automotive industry.
