The Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu chaired the General Assembly of AFM CLUSTER held in the auditorium of the Orona Foundation on the 17th of May, accompanied by the Minister of the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructures, Arantza Tapia and the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Markel Olano.
Throughout the morning, the associations of AFM CLUSTER: AFM, ADDIMAT and ESKUIN, held their respective general assemblies to later meet in a joint celebration: the Day of Advanced and Digital Manufacturing. Cooperation, as a lever to address the challenges of the sector, was the subject debated by the presidents of the four associations that make up AFM CLUSTER: César Garbalena (AFM), Miguel González (ESKUIN), Alfonso Urzainki (ADDIMAT), and Alberto Pérez (AFMEC).
Next, the speaker Andrea Boltho spoke as a guest speaker about the current economic situation in Europe and in the world. In addition, the association paid tribute to two emblematic people, Jacinto Irazola and Manuel Motilva, for their long and successful professional careers in the advanced manufacturing sector, giving them the AFM gold badge.
The Assembly of ADDIMAT elected Alfonso Urzainki, CTO of Egile, to preside over the association for the next 2 years.
