TECNALIA will present at FORMNEXT(Frankfurt) new additive manufacturing technologies. TECNALIA is developing knowledge and necessary tools to combine two complementary processes in the same machine: machining and additive manufacturing (LMD, Laser Metal Deposition). Through the synergy of these two processes, high efficiency, accuracy, robustness and productivity technology has been obtained. The aeronautical sector, tooling industry, and automotive manufacturing are just examples of those areas where this technology can gain relevance. These developments are framed in the PARADDISE initiative, where Tecnalia participated in collaboration with 7 other partners: Ibarmia Innovatek S.L, Siemens AG, Precitec GmbH & Co. KG, GKN Aerospace Norway AS, Michelin, UPV / EHU and RWTH Aachen University.
Titanium parts manufactured by WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) technology where process monitoring and control system has been used, as well as stainless steel parts manufactured with Binder Jetting technology will be also shown in the fair.
