26 September, 2024• ADDIMAT celebrates its eighth year taking part in the world's top additive manufacturing trade fair.
• CEIT, HIPERBARIC, REINFORCE 3D, ROVALMA, CRAMIK and CIM UPC will all be taking part in FORMNEXT 2024.
Barcelona, 26 September 2024.- The city of Frankfurt is to host the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to additive manufacturing technologies from 19 to 22 November. Formnext is a key meeting point for additive manufacturing professions, where they will showcase the latest technological innovations and industrial applications in this field.
The trade fair showcases the complex and multifaceted world of additive manufacturing across the entire range of materials used, from polymers to metals and other materials, as well as every stage from state-of-the-art industrial manufacturing to mass production.
In 2023 Formnext attracted 859 exhibitors and around 33,000 professional visitors from major industry sectors such as the automotive industry, the aerospace sector, mechanics, electronics, medical technology, automation, construction and architecture, etc.
ADDIMAT, the Spanish Association of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Technologies, in its eighth year participating in the fair, will showcase six Spanish member companies in the grouped participation, who will exhibit their developments and advanced solutions in the field of additive manufacturing and 3D printing. In total, thirty Spanish companies will take part in Formnext 2024. The grouped participation organized by ADDIMAT will be formed by the following companies:
CEIT: research centre of the University of Navarra that carries out industrial applied research projects under contract, in close collaboration with companies’ R&D departments.
HIPERBARIC: company that designs and manufactures HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) equipment for post-processing and/or consolidation of metal components manufactured by foundry, MIM, additive manufacturing (AF) and similar, working in environments of responsibility (aeronautical, oil & gas, nuclear, medical, etc.) with demanding industrial and regulatory requirements.
REINFORCE 3D: a company that aims to develop and commercialise CFIP technology, a new post-processing technology that improves the mechanical performance and lightening of 3D printed parts.
ROVALMA: a company that develops and supplies advanced metal powders for a variety of applications, such as for use in additive manufacturing technologies, welding, thermal spraying, metal injection molding, coating, hot isostatic pressing, among others.
CRAMIK: company that has developed a polymer blend capable of increasing the stability of materials loaded with ceramic/metallic particles.
CIM UPC: Technological research centre affiliated to the UPC - ‘Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya’ dedicated to R&D and knowledge transfer in relevant areas of manufacturing, automation and production management.
The presence of more than 30 Spanish companies at Formnext contributes to reinforce ADDIMAT's role as a key player in the promotion of the additive manufacturing industry in Spain, and consolidates its position on the international stage. In a rapidly evolving sector, Formnext 2024 will be a platform to establish new partnerships and present the latest technological solutions that are transforming industrial manufacturing.
On the other hand, the next edition of ADDIT↋D, organized by ADDIMAT and BEC, will be held from June 3 to 5, 2025. It is the leading professional trade fair for additive and 3D manufacturing in Spain, within the context of the +INDUSTRY, an event that will bring together leading companies in the additive manufacturing sector. It will be a unique platform for companies to showcase their latest technological innovations, strengthening the position of national companies as a cutting-edge industrial hub in advanced manufacturing.
