EDDM TRAINING & SOLUTIONS PRESENTS THE EVENT “THE 3D PRINTING DAY”, A SESSION FILLED WITH TALKS, COUNSELING AND WORKSHOPS IN 3D PRINTING

As every year, EDDM  organizes its conference on the present and future of professional 3D printing and additive engineering. The event “The 3D Printing Day” will take place on September 19 at the Google’s Campus Madrid, where, in addition to the talks that will be given by renowned speakers in the sector, this third edition will hold two completely free events: professional 3D printing consultancies for companies and a 3D printing workshop with FDM machines and the live manufacturing of 3D printed parts.

Among the speakers there will be professionals of recognized prestige in the sector. Santiago Martín from INTA will review the latest news on upcoming technologies, processes and applications of additive manufacturing. Ignacio Garrido Kaifer of Comher will introduce the American company Desktop Metal and Inma Vázquez will present the new HP Multi Jet Fusion technology and its new full-color manufacturing machines.

To talk about new materials for additive manufacturing we will have María Teresa Pérez Prado from IMDEA Materials and Fernando García Móstoles from FIDAMC who will talk about the composite materials for its reuse in 3D printing.

As a finishing touch, we will once again have an expert from the biomedical sector, Pedro Martínez Seijas from HP Hospitales, who will present innovative biomedical applications, one of the most important battle horses currently in additive manufacturing.

The novelty in this third edition of The 3D printing Day will include a free consulting service for companies. Those interested will receive an analysis of their company, supply chain and means of production to be able to define how 3D printing fits and how to incorporate it into their business.

To close the day we have organized a free 3D printing workshop to commence in the world of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Based on the teaching methodology of the course in 3D Printing taught by EDDM Training, expert teachers will give an introduction to professional 3D printing, using FDM machines and the a live demonstration of parts being printed in 3D.
