BRONYMEC POSITIONS ITSELF AS BETA TESTER OF INNOVATIVE PA 12 FR MATERIAL IN COLLABORATION WITH HP AND MAQUINSER

11 November, 2024Bronymec, a company specialising in advanced manufacturing solutions and with a long history in thermoplastics and composites processing, has been selected as beta tester for the novel High Reusability PA 12 Flame Retardant (FR) material, developed by Evonik in collaboration with HP 3D Printing. This innovative material is designed for 3D printing using HP's Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology, offering a unique combination of high reusability and flame retardancy. Bronymec's inclusion in the project marks an important step in the implementation of advanced and sustainable solutions for high-demand sectors such as rail, electrical-electronics and aerospace.

For Bronymec, being selected as a beta tester for this new material has been both a privilege and a challenge, consolidating its position in the field of advanced additive manufacturing. The company has had the support of HP 3D Printing and the logistical support of Maquinser S.A., a company with which they have worked closely since the beginning of the project. This joint work has allowed Bronymec to experiment and validate the potential of PA 12 FR in real production conditions, anticipating the future demands of the industry in terms of safety, performance and sustainability.

Features and benefits of PA 12 FR

PA 12 FR is a halogen-free material specifically formulated for applications requiring high flame retardancy, with outstanding safety properties and superior performance in functional parts. In addition to providing a high quality finish, this material allows for high reusability, reducing waste and optimising production costs, which is key for companies committed to sustainable manufacturing practices.
This reusability makes PA 12 FR particularly suitable for sectors such as rail, where fire resistance and durability are essential, and aerospace, which demands lightweight, safe and efficient materials. In the electrical and electronics sector, its application in the manufacture of thermally stable housings and structural components makes it a versatile and competitive solution.

Presentation at Advanced Manufacturing Madrid

Bronymec will have the opportunity to present this material at Stand 7B07 at the Advanced Manufacturing Madrid trade fair, to be held on 20 and 21 November. During the event, attendees will be able to learn about the capabilities of PA 12 FR and its application in critical sectors, as well as Bronymec's role in the deployment of this technology in the Spanish market.
