CETEMET

Cetemet is a technology and innovation centre with extensive experience in different areas of knowledge such as product design and development, computational simulation, digital technologies and advanced materials. In this last area, the centre has different metallic and polymeric additive manufacturing technologies, such as powder bed fusion technology (L-PBF) and direct energy deposition with metallic filament (DED-wire), among others. These different technologies are in addition to other laboratories, such as metallography, post-processing (Robotic Friction Stir Welding), battery testing, mechanical, environmental and electrical testing. Exclusively, the centre has ‘cold tunnels’ (in Linares, Zaragoza and Benavente), large laboratories to reproduce extreme environmental conditions (wind, rain, snow, etc.) and test large vehicles or other large-volume prototypes. It is the only centre in Spain accredited to test the thermal comfort of a train with passengers under standard conditions. Cetemet has numerous accreditations that endorse its rigorous experimental work, which is applied daily to real use cases in different Spanish and European industries. The centre has the capacity to coordinate consortium proposals, leading R&D projects of different types at regional, national, European (Horizon Europe) and international level.
